The International Alliance of Coast Wetlands of Yellow (Bohai) Sea, abbreviated as IACWYBS (hereinafter referred to as the 'Alliance'), was founded by the Center for East Asian-Australasian Flyway  Studies (CEAAF) and Eco Foundation Global during the 2018 Yancheng Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf Wetland International Conference. While prioritizing the protection of natural resources, the Alliance emphasizes sectors like ecology, tourism, and culture. It integrates globally advanced concepts to pioneer new approaches for sustainable development of protected areas, aiming to create a model for harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Concurrently, the Alliance is proactive in supporting the resolutions of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and World Conservation Congress (WCC) to enhance the protection of the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf wetlands and the migratory birds, and to champion cross-regional management and conservation efforts for the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf ecological region.
