We have thoroughly and promptly studied the geological and geomorphological features of the Yancheng wetlands and the heritage site. By accumulating long-term monitoring data, we aim to provide a foundational understanding and technical backing for the geological evolution and ecological restoration of these areas.
Research Focus:
We leverage tools like satellites, drones, and water-sand and biological observation equipment to monitor factors including coastal wetland hydrodynamics, sediments, biology, and topography. Our research delves into the evolution of Yancheng coastal wetlands across various scales, the interplay between sediments' physical processes and biological ones, and the multi-temporal evolutionary mechanisms of these wetlands. We also forecast their evolutionary paths in changing environments, ensuring informed support for wetland conservation and management.
