The Yancheng Coastal Wetlands is China's largest coastal wetlands nature reserve. It is also China's first coastal wetland World Heritage Site. This beautiful wetland ecosystem covers an area of 2700 square kilometers and provides high-quality habitat 23 important migratory birds that travel internationally as well as for 17 endangered species. The Dafeng Milu Deer Reserve within the wetland area is China's largest conservation area for Milu deer, a rare species that was once considered extinct in the country.
