A seminar of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP14) was held in an onsite-online hybrid format in Wuhan, China and Geneva, Switzerland on Nov. 8.

The seminar was co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, BirdLife International and the Eco Foundation Global.

The World Coastal Forum (WCF) 2023 will be held in Yancheng, according to the seminar. Zhang Xinsheng, president of the preparatory work group for the forum and former president of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), said the aim is to turn WCF into a platform for knowledge sharing and exchange in order to promote the conservation, management and ecological restoration of coastal wetlands.
