As a key node on the East Asian–Australasian Flyway, the coastal wetlands of Yancheng serve as a crucial "refueling station" for migratory birds during their long journeys.



As temperatures rise recently, Tiaozini in Dongtai has welcomed a large number of migratory birds stopping over during their spring migration. Tens of thousands of birds have arrived one after another.



Flocks of Eurasian oystercatchers, Saunders's gulls and other species forage in groups. The mudflats witness thousands of birds taking flight together, their chirps rising and falling, forming a delightful scene with the tides and mudflats and exuding the full vitality of spring.



Every spring and autumn, migratory birds travel thousands of miles to migrate regularly between their wintering grounds and breeding grounds, completing their "annual tour".



Across mountains and seas, their migratory journey has become safer and smoother thanks to this wetland. Yancheng will continue to safeguard this paradise for migratory birds, fulfill its responsibilities in ecological governance with concrete actions, and contribute more China' efforts to protecting our shared planet and promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
