On March 3, the Municipal Heritage Center organized a series of themed promotional events for the 2026 World Wildlife Day under the name "Fly Over the Yellow Sea · Meet the Elves – Guard the Homeland for Millions of Migratory Birds". Adopting an innovative dual-format model of "pop-up promotion in shopping malls + in-depth education in museums", the events introduced to the public the rare species and ecological stories of the Yellow Sea (Bohai Gulf) Migratory Bird Habitat, a World Natural Heritage site in China.

The campaign was held at Powerlong City Plaza, centered on the ecological positioning of "Yancheng Yellow Sea Wetland – World Natural Heritage • Homeland for Millions of Migratory Birds". It featured a comparative photo exhibition The Weight of Life, revealing ecological crises through a striking visual contrast between "devastation" and "beauty". A lifelike bird specimen show Zero-Distance Dialogue was staged, displaying high-fidelity specimens including the spoon-billed sandpiper, along with interactive games such as Bird Identification by Sound and photo opportunities. Meanwhile, a legal consultation desk was set up to distribute brochures on the Wetland Protection Law and bird field guides, spreading knowledge on wildlife conservation.
On the same day, themed around this year’s global motto, the Yellow Sea Wetland Museum launched a series of educational activities Little Explorers of the Medicinal Wetland, telling the ecological stories of plants and migratory birds in the Yancheng Yellow Sea Wetland in an entertaining and engaging way.
